Haas, Irene Ann (Marriage - 8 Nov. 1958)
Miss Irene Ann Haas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Haas, Sr., and Donald Harder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Harder, were united in marriage in Zion Lutheran church Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8, at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. William Chrisitan reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Betty Lou Dekarske of Colby, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor and Mrs. Richard Felton of Marshfield, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his cousin, Norbert Harder of Stetsonville, as best man and his brother-in-law, Richard Felton of Marshfield, as groomsman. Miss Kaye Nienow, accompanied by Mrs. Adelle Frome, sang the Wedding Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of tulle and lace over satin styled with long sleeves and a scalloped square neckline. A lace bonnet held her finger-tip veil. Her bouquet consisted of yellow roses and white carnations.
The bride’s attendants wore identical floor-length gowns of cocoa brown ruffled net over taffeta with gold cummerbunds with headpieces of yellow and white carnations and white net. Their cascade bouquets consisted of yellow carnations and white pompoms.
The bride’s mother wore a navy blue dress with black accessories and the groom’s mother wore a gray street dress with black and white accessories. Their bouquets consisted of pink, garnet and white carnations.
A reception was held at Colby’s tavern in Unity, Wis. The couple will make their home on a farm near Stetsonville.
